Mary was a stalwart and a prime example to all women. She worked all her life in a full-time capacity, a wonderful feat for a woman in those days decades ago. She enjoyed a close relationship with her siblings and with her solicitor father Albert and her mother Jessie (nee Fraser). Her mother's family were from the Scottish island of Nairne, considered part of mainland Scotland.
